In some countries, the average gradual loss per capita availability of water has already reached alarming levels, which makes it necessary the urgent search of sustainable and effective solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">One of the goals incluided in the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development formulated by the United Nations,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>stablished the need to: \u201censure availability and sustaninable management of water and sanitation for all\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>with the commitment to achieve<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>it by 2030,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; <\/span>\u201cuniversal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; &nbsp; <\/span>improve water quality by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping and minimizing release of hazardous chemicals and materials, halving the proportion of untreated wastewater and substantially increasing recycling and safe reuse glo-bally, expand international cooperation and capacity-building support to developing countries in water- and sanitation-related activities and programmes, including water harvesting, desalination, water efficiency, wastewater treatment, recycling and reuse technologies\u201d, among other purposes.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">In order to achieve the Agenda goals, specifically those related with water sanitation, bio and nanotechnology can contribute effectively through its capabilities for detection, mitigation and remediation actions.
