International divulgation magazine of nanoscience and nanotechnology

Nanoscale Science and Technology Centre

Periodic interdiscipline publication dedicated to all the aspects related to research, development and implications of the nanoscience and nanotechnology

     ISSN 2242-426X

The society of the 21st century is travelling to an impressive age of development and innovation. It is characterized by the implementation of new technologies that will possibly modify the way of life like IT and the electronic revolution have. It is hoped that the advances from nanoscience and nanotechnology, specifically in the development of new processes and materials at a nano scale level, draw a map for a route towards potential solutions to the problems regarding energy, environment, health, food, etc. These areas require urgent attention in order to improve the quality of life for the present and future generations.

These scenarios raise the need to socialize this new knowledge, to propose and access ways to the interested community and to the new generations who are formed inside this transition. One of the ways to do this is precisely magazines for the general population, which without losing the rigor and precision will accompany the readers who are interested in this fascinating journey in nanoscience and nanotechnology.

This publication is orientated to explore the extraordinary universe of the nanometric scale with dedicated sections to the advances, perspectives, achievements, social and economic impact, intellectual prosperity, education, regulation and social responsibility among others. The magazine will have international coverage, with the desire that it contributes to the task of strengthening the network of the knowledge in nanoscience and nanotechnology, as well as stimulate the new generations to assume the challenges imposed by science and technology of the present century. We hope that the magazine accompanies other initiatives of this nature, and could prosper with the principal aim of socialization and promotion of the nano, a new dimension of knowledge.
